Optical inventory and lens stock

Optical inventory software that counts lenses by power

Frames are easy to count. Lenses are not: the same lens in a different power is a different item. Generic stock software gives you one number; OptiLyn keeps lens stock the way it sits on your shelf.

Lens stock in a sphere x cylinder grid

Spectacle lens stock is tracked by power, so the screen matches the drawer.

Frames, contact lenses and accessories

Frames, spectacle lenses, contact lenses and accessories in one catalogue.

Barcodes and labels

Scan to find an item, and print barcode labels for your own stock.

Shelf locations and reorder levels

Record where each item sits, and set the level at which you want to reorder.

A low-stock list

See what is running low without counting the shelf.

Stock at the moment of sale

The sale screen shows the real quantity for the branch you are in, and on Cloud the quantity at your other branches too.

What this replaces

  • A notebook for lens stock becomes a power grid that matches your shelf
  • Spreadsheets for stock become live stock, updated with every sale
  • Counting the shelf to find what to reorder becomes a low-stock list
  • Guessing at another branch's stock becomes seeing it (on Cloud)

Common questions

Is this built for opticals specifically, or general retail?

For opticals only. Prescriptions are built in — right and left eye, sphere, cylinder, axis and addition — and lenses are stocked by power, not as one number. General shop software gets both of these wrong.

Does it handle contact lenses as well as spectacles?

Yes. Contact-lens prescriptions are saved separately from glasses prescriptions, on the same customer record.

Can it print invoices, job cards and barcode labels?

Yes — invoices, lab job cards, receipts and barcode labels, sent straight to the right printer with no print pop-up.
